We are moving jewelry design from traditional beadwork to jewelry workmanship. We are guiding you to experience the fun and challenging adventure behind the glittering life we see in jewelry store windows and to realize your dreams.

MATERIALS TO BE USED IN THE PROGRAM:
For charcoal drawing;
-Graduated drawing pencil (HB, 2B, 3B, … etc.)
-Dough and pencil eraser
-Sketchbook
-0.35 and 0.50 snap pen
-Various rulers
For colored drawing;
- Different colored pencils with Aquarell feature
-High-weight, durable technical drawing paper (e.g. Schoeller paper)
-Image file
COURSE CONTENT
· Basic Drawing Techniques
We will learn together the importance of shadow-light effect created by the combination of a material with the ground in the correct expression of the design with basic drawing program drawing techniques. Drawing will be done with charcoal and colored pencils with the angle of incidence of light.
· Drawing of Precious and Semi-Precious Stones
Acquire knowledge on how to draw and color precious and semi-precious stones used in jewelry design using shadow and light techniques.
· Information About Jewelry Design
Information will be provided on how jewelry began and how it has continued to this day. The methods used in the production phase will be explained.
· Design Methods Used in Jewelry Design
Practical information will be provided on the issues to be considered when preparing a collection, and drawing support will be provided in the creation of the pieces to be used in the collection.
· Precious Stones
General information will be provided on the material information of precious stones used in jewelry and how to use them.
· Jewelry Techniques
Information is provided on the jewelry techniques used in the decoration of jewelry and their use in designs is ensured.
· Creating a Collection
In light of the information and drawing experiences conveyed throughout the lessons, pieces that will form a collection around a subject are designed and those pieces are prepared for presentation.
This program aims to provide participants with a comprehensive perspective on jewelry design and production, while also providing practical skills. At the end of the training, participants will have the necessary knowledge and skills to create their own jewelry designs and turn these designs into reality.
ŞEVVAL SENCER
He was born in Istanbul in 2000. He started his education in Graphics and Photography at Ahmet Sani Gezici MTA High School in 2014. Later, in 2019, he won the Marmara University Art and Crafts Teaching Department and gained experience in this sector while studying. In 2022, he enrolled in the Marmara University Jewelry and Jewelry Design Undergraduate Program and continued his studies in this field. He has worked with several companies in the sector and is currently providing education in this field.
