ETSY Marketing and Social Media Sales Strategy Training
2) USE HIGH-QUALITY IMAGES
A picture is worth a thousand words, and even more so on Etsy. Make sure you use quality, high-resolution photos that show your products professionally. Use different angles and depths to show off the details of your items. It’s always a good idea to submit multiple images, with at least one showing the product in action. You don’t have to have a professional photographer, but make sure you use a good camera and present your products in good light. An important rule of thumb for selling on Esty is product images.
3) PAY ATTENTION TO YOUR SEO
Most of your potential customers will come from online searches. This means you need to make sure your Etsy store is SEO friendly so your store and products rank high in web searches. Make sure you consider everything from your business name to your product titles and descriptions. Additionally, keeping your site up to date and adding new content will also help optimize search results. To sell on Etsy, it pays to have original on-page content, detailed and long descriptions.
4) START A BLOG
Even if your products are unique, there are likely other sellers offering similar products. What sets yours apart depends on how you promote your shop beyond the Etsy website. Starting a blog where you share information about your products is one way to increase visibility outside of Etsy. Consider adding details about yourself and your products (how they’re made, etc.), and make sure to use relevant keywords for SEO.
5) PROVIDE THE BEST CUSTOMER SERVICE
Another important aspect that can help set you apart from your competitors is customer service. Customers are more likely to stick with stores where they receive better service. Respond quickly to questions and feedback, and respond positively to your customers if any issues arise. Your best marketing will come from happy, satisfied customers who recommend your products to their friends.
6) CREATE YOUR BRAND
Branding isn’t just about your shop and products. It’s also about you. Making yourself a part of the Etsy selling community, having interesting, unique products, offering great service, and establishing yourself as an expert through blogging are all ways to build your brand. To add to this, consider creating a separate logo for your shop and then using it on your listings, ads, and packaging. This will help you build trust and confidence with your customers, indicating the quality of your products and brand.
7) MARKET YOUR BRAND ON SOCIAL MEDIA
Social media plays a big role in today’s marketing strategies. Create profiles for your store on at least Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, etc. and other social media networks if you use them and have time to manage them. It increases your visibility and offers completely free marketing opportunities. You can promote your blog, products, sales and discounts and it won’t cost you more than your time.
