Our main goal in this course is to instill a love of art in our children and to ensure they have an enjoyable time while learning through practical applications. As we all know, writing skills are one of the fundamental skills that should be acquired in the first year of school. Writing is one of our most complex cognitive skills. It involves a complex process requiring the acquisition of visual and motor skills. Besides being a factor in determining academic success in primary school, acquiring this skill is also of great importance for children to be able to communicate their feelings and thoughts to others and to communicate effectively.
WHAT IS THE PURPOSE OF EDUCATION?
Beautiful handwriting demonstrates respect for oneself and others. The purpose of calligraphy is to enable people to write more aesthetically and decoratively, and to convey their intended message.

- Illegible handwriting, letters written in different sizes.

- Not writing for a long time
- Resisting the urge to write or draw.
- Inability to organize on paper.

COURSE CONTENT:
- Basic calligraphy training (basic writing)
- Italic font style
- Paddy writing style
- Gothic font style
- Latin calligraphy
AT THE END OF THE LESSON:
By the end of the lesson, our children will have learned the art of beautiful handwriting, getting rid of old, incorrect pen holding positions and learning correct writing styles. This will increase their interest in writing and provide them with the opportunity to become acquainted with beautiful handwriting styles through handwriting art training.
Atalay AcresHe was born in Bingöl in 1980. He completed his primary and secondary education in Istanbul and his university education at Niğde Ömer Halisdemir University. He started his calligraphy education with the classical method in 2001 with his teacher, Calligrapher Aydın Ergün. He practiced in Rika, Sülüs, Celi Sülüs, Divani, Celi Divani, Rika writing systems for 15 years. He is also currently taking lessons in Talik script from his teacher Mustafa Parıldar.
In order to complete his calligraphy education, he started working with painter and calligrapher Etem Çalışkan in 2002 and produced italic type productions consisting of processes that lasted 4 years. He also continues to work freely in Gothic, Çeltik and Copperplate scripts.
He also gives calligraphy lessons in various course notifications belonging to Ümraniye Municipality. In the field of calligraphy, he participates in gift, invitation, certificate writing, diploma writing, events, festivals, activities, domestic and international fairs, as well as commercial merchants, and continues his work in Istanbul.
He was entitled to receive an artist promotion card in the field of Calligraphy from the Republic of Turkey Ministry of Culture within the scope of intangible cultural heritage carriers in 2015, and an artist promotion card in the field of Calligraphy in 2023. He has been married for 18 years and has three children.
