WHO CAN ATTEND THE COURSE?
It is a suitable program for students who want to study or are studying in the fields of fashion design, clothing production and textiles; those who want to establish their own brands in boutique or Haute Couture style and those who want to produce and design in these clothing groups in their professional working life; designers or designer candidates who want to have knowledge of patterns, sewing and cutting; and all participants who want to improve themselves in this field as a hobby.
Participants in this course must have knowledge of pattern making, sewing and must have a certificate from an authorized institution.
PURPOSE OF THE COURSE
The aim of the program is to provide all participants with the competence to choose the appropriate fabric, auxiliary materials and accessories for the specially designed garment; to create its pattern, and to perform the cutting and sewing processes.
WHAT ARE THE GAINS OF THE COURSE?
Individuals who attend this course will be able to choose fabrics and accessories suitable for the designed evening dress, engagement dress and wedding dress, create piece patterns either by draping on a mannequin or by hand pattern making, lay out the patterns on the fabric and cut them, and have the competence to create a product concretely with all its stages by sewing.

-Fabric and auxiliary materials (the supply of fabric and auxiliary materials suitable for the specified design will be requested at a later stage according to the flow of the program).

Garment Technologist Born in Istanbul in 1975. Graduated from Marmara University's Ready-to-Wear Teaching Department in 1997. Following graduation, she worked for two years in the private sector as a Garment Production Planning Specialist. She then began working as a permanent Garment Production Technology Teacher within the Ministry of National Education. For 25 years, she taught pattern-making techniques and sewing methods and techniques at Vocational High Schools and Community Education Centres. After retirement, she continues to share her professional experience and teach at Atölye Ataşehir. Work Experience Turkish Ministry of National Education Clothing Production Technology Teacher July 1996 – March 1998 I provided practical training on patterns, sewing techniques, quality control, and production processes for the ready-to-wear sector. I organised technical training on Lectra and Gerber CAD systems. I provided students with field experience through workshop organisations. I provided advanced knowledge on woven and knitted fabrics. I achieved a 25% time saving through lean production principles. I managed internship and collaboration processes with over 50 companies.URKAY Textile Inc. Planning and Production Monitoring Specialist March 1998 – July 2023 I managed product development, pattern preparation, and sample processes for women's clothing collections. I optimised delivery times, achieving a 95% on-time delivery rate. Reduced fabric waste rate from 12% to 7%. Successfully passed international quality audits with technical documentation in English. Improved workflow and time management in internal production workshops. Increased product approval speed in the sample process based on customer feedback. Strengthened operational continuity and quality standards by ensuring integration between production, planning, and quality control.
