This programme will provide students with the opportunity to work on a wider variety of plant drawings. Each module is designed to support theoretical knowledge with practical applications.
Materials and Techniques to be Used:
- Drawing pens (pencil, charcoal pencil)
- Watercolor paints and various brushes
- Ink and roller pens
- Colored pencils (dry and wet)
- Acrylic paints
- Mixed media papers
Throughout the program, students can study the techniques of different artists and develop their own style. For example, studying the nature observations and use of color of impressionist artists such as Claude Monet can be inspiring for the use of light and color in botanical illustration.
This program will allow students to work on a variety of plant species to produce botanical illustrations that are competent in both scientific accuracy and artistic expression. The program can be further adapted to suit needs and expanded to delve deeper into specific plant species or techniques.
SULEYMAN CAGLAYAN
Born in Istanbul in 1977, Çağlayan completed his undergraduate program in the Painting Department of the Faculty of Fine Arts at Mimar Sinan University in 2002 under the tutelage of Neşe Erdok, Nedret Sekban and Ahmet Umur Deniz. In 2010, he became an Assoc. He completed the Master's Program in Painting at Mimar Sinan University, Institute of Social Sciences, under the supervision of Ahmet Umur Deniz.
